Gaining speed in Tyrol's untamed nature.
All runners out there will find trails and stages for every level in Pitztal Valley: narrow paths, Alpine passages and high altitudes. Requiring focus and rewarding runners with expansive scenery, the 19 routes, totalling 264 kilometres, range from easy runs to demanding climbs in high Alpine terrain. Gaining altitude is part of the game, as are more moderate sections lower down.
Since 2013, Pitztal Valley has been synonymous with trail running on an international scale: the Pitz Alpine Glacier Trail is one of the largest and most spectacular trail running events in Austria and has helped shape Alpine running culture. Pitztal Valley offers ideal conditions for trail runners eager to train during their summer holiday in Tyrol.
