Conquer Pitztal Valley at high altitudes and lower levels during your e-bike holiday in Tyrol. A total of nine marked routes covering around 94 kilometres lead along forest paths, through open plains and up into the mountains, offering something for all ability levels.

A bike rental shop is located only around 50 metres from Hotel WildSpitze. A cable car helps you with the ascent up to Hochzeiger mountain. From June to October, we offer one guided mountain bike tour per week. Whether it's sporty or leisurely, with muscle power or e-assistance, a cycling holiday in Pitztal Valley offers a plethora of options – peaceful, scenic and clearly structured.

Pitztal Bike Route

The Pitztal Bike Route winds its way through the impressive landscapes of the valley: a number of connecting and side routes link up with this trail along the way, offering a variety of options for cycling in Tyrol.

The signposted 40 kilometres wind their way from the beginning to the end of Pitztal Valley with gentle gradients and a few technical passages. From Imst/Pitztal Valley to Mittelberg, you can expect around six hours and a lot of elevation gain; the way back is downhill and takes around 3.5 hours.

Taschachhaus bike & hike

This tour combining cycling and hiking is aimed at experienced mountaineers. First, you cycle through the Taschachtal valley on your mountain bike, then continue on foot (walking time: approximately one hour) up to Taschachhaus hut at over 2,400 metres above sea level.

The change from bike to the hiking trail opens up new perspectives on glaciers, moraines and high Alpine terrain. A tour for anyone who likes to think ahead when biking in Tyrol – and climb higher. Please stay on the marked route at all times. The steep ascent to Rifflsee is closed to bikes.

ZirbenCart downhill fun

ZirbenCarts are quite unique vehicles that offer a special way of whizzing down Hochzeiger mountain. After the ascent on the gondola, you descend on wide forest paths, steering the carts with balance and intuition.

The route leads through Swiss pine forests and open terrain and is a nice change from classic mountain biking. A summer experience combining fun, scenery and exercise.

Pitztal Summer Card. Flexibility on the go.

The Pitztal Summer Card adds freedom and flexibility to your cycling holiday in Pitztal Valley. Ascents and descents with the Hochzeiger cable car facilitate access to high-altitude trails. Free public transport in the valley is also included. This allows you to plan and combine tours flexibly – to cover more distance, terrain and time. You will receive the Pitztal Summer Card directly at the hotel upon arrival.
