Alpine Coaster Imst. Nail-biting bends & serious speed.

The Alpine Coaster in Imst combines natural scenery with mind-boggling speed along a 3.5-kilometre track with up to 500 metres of elevation difference. You decide how fast you want to go downhill (up to 40 km/h). The start is in Hoch-Imst at around 1,500 metres above sea level and is easily accessible by gondola. With a gradient of around 13% and views of Alpine rose fields, this adventure never fails to impress. Travel time: approximately seven minutes. Ideal for families and anyone who is big into action.

Tip: combine the trip with a visit to the Rosengarten Gorge – first listening to the sound of the water, then whizzing down along the rails.

At the Tyrolean Ibex Centre (Steinbockzentrum) in Schrofen, you can discover Alpine wildlife up close. Europe's highest raft trip is at 2,232 metres above sea level across Lake Rifflsee. The 45-minute trip slows you down and clears your head without having to walk for hours.
