Wild Times - COVID Information

Stay safe in your Pitztal holidays



These are the values that we have always lived. We are looking forward to welcome you at our hotel. Due to the spaciousness of our hotel, we can guarantee the most important thing for your vacation at the moment, a lot of space with the highest degree of hygiene. We recommend the following behaviour rules:

  • The 2G rules in Austria is currently valid (recovered or vaccinated) this will be checked at your arrival on the reception. (from 12 years)
  • Cancellation conditions: free cancellation up to 1 week before

• We warmly welcome you without shaking hands
• A mask nose protection (FFP2) is required at the hotel, cable ways, bus and grocery store
• 1 meter distance to strangers in all areas
• Wash hands several times a day with soap (at least 30 seconds)
• Sneeze or cough into the crook of your arm
• If you have symptoms of illness before arrival, please postpone the trip (we will definitely find a solution)
• If you have symptoms of illness during your hotel stay, please stay in your room and inform the team at reception.
• Our Bar is open until 10pm. Buffet is allowed (a combination between table service and buffet)
• Our wellness area is open as usual


Our Corona cancellation conditions:

Free cancellation up to 1 week before arrival, if one of the following reasons applies:

  • If there is again a lockdown
  • If the boarder is closed
  • A travel warning for Tyrol or
  • If you have tested positive for Covid-19 (we need the test result)

Arrival in Austria - New regulation from 20th of December 2021

In order to be travel to Austria in addition to a valid 2G certificate, a PCR test or a booster vaccination is required.

The Team of Pitztal Glacier and Nature Park Region has drawn up a number of guidelines for themselfes and the guests in accordance with the current state of knowledge and official regulations - in
order to ensure the most worriless nature exploration in our scenic mountains. We kindly ask all guests staying in our holiday region to strictly observe the guidelines and pay attention to them with enough personal responsibility.


  • 2G proof for all lift users: From the age of 12, a 2G proof must be shown daily at the designated check points.
  • 2G include: Convalescent or Vaccinated (Ninja pass for school-age children also counts as 2G evidence).
  • An FFP2 mask must be worn in all cable cars and enclosed queuing areas. Children from 7 to 14 years need at least a mouth-nose protection. Children up to the age of 6 do not need a mask.
  • Maintain a distance of at least 1 meter from other people not living in the same
  • Wear nose and mouth protection in the mountain gondola. With the exception of children up to the age of 6 or people who cannot use it for health reasons.
  • Pay contactless whenever possible. Pay the bill preferably with your bank/credit card.
  • Lift tickets can be booked online:
  • Always follow the instructions given by the employees and staff on the spot.
  • Avoid shaking hands and hugs.
  • Wash your hands several times a day with soap and water for at least 30 seconds.
  • Avoid touching your face with uncleaned hands.
  • Sneeze or cough into your elbow or into a handkerchief. Stay home if there is any sign of illness.


  • References to the generally applicable rules of conduct provided by standees, signs, posts, floor markings or other aids such as loudspeaker announcements at entrance and exit areas, guidance systems at the cash desks and waiting areas.
  • In the waiting areas and in the mountain gondolas, a mask is absolutely required. The nose and mouth cover must be put on during the entire gondola ride.
  • Gletscherexpress will run in the shortest possible interval (every 10 minutes); during peak season and when there are high numbers of guests, lift operation starts at 7.00 am in order to avoid crowded cabins, the transport capacity is restricted and access is controlled.
  • Surfaces of mountain lift equipment as well as door and window handles and light switches are cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis.
  • Regular airing in the station building (weather permitting!).
  • Sanitary facilities are provided with sufficient soap and are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected at regular intervals
  • The mountain lift staff and all employees in the catering area wear face masks/visors and are constantly trained and reminded of the COVID-19 hygiene measures and general guidelines.
  • The "Wildspitz" and "Kristall" glacier restaurants are open and offer plenty of space.
  • In times of COVID-19 there is no après-ski atmosphere in the ski area and at the umbrella bar. The umbrella bar on the sun terrace of the "Kristall" restaurant is operated similar to a homey coffee house or lounge bar.
  • Additionally, they plan to open the Rifflsee Ski Area as early as possible on the busy weekends. However, it strongly depends on the weather and snow conditions
